Few people have said, "Holy shit, you shaved your head!"

In fact -- nobody has. So, feel free to be the first. It's weird in this ridiculously inappropriate society. Maybe everyone knows better by now....but seriously, this is drastic enough a change to warrant more than "ah, haircut"....

Oh whatever. Nobody said anything about my brand new dress either. Bastards.


During walk: J and I discussing the mellowness of the extreme feelings we're feeling. And it's bizzare. She's right: it hasn't hit me. Perhaps that's what happens when you find the right balance. Equilibrium. It doesn't hit you, because it's just the epitome of even-keel. Where you're supposed to be.

And that's not to say that I don't get overwhelmed and....just plain silly when looking, face-to-face, up close, intertwined.... And there's a lot of that. A lot of just...unable to control myself. Perma-grin. And maybe that's it hitting me -- but in reflection, during calmer moments, it's just me being right with the world and that's aces. Probably couldn't deal if I was just walking around flabbergasted all the time.

And that's not to say that I'm not flabbergasted all the time....
